IISCIM Research Activities

The Institute is also aim to engage in research activities to explore various areas of meditation and facilitate knowledge sharing among researchers and interested people. IISCIM focuses on research and study in the fields of meditation, neuro-science, epigenetic studies, positive psychology, cognitive intelligence, cardiovascular health, immunity and research in allied fields that are related to meditation.

IISCIM ensures that all research proposals involving Human participants and personal data must submitted to the appropriate Institutional Ethics Committee for approval. The basic responsibility of an Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) is to ensure a competent review of all ethical aspects of the project proposals received by it in an objective manner. IECs should provide advice to the researchers on all aspects of the welfare and safety of the research participants after ensuring the scientific soundness of the proposed research through appropriate Ethical and Scientific Review. IEC may take up the dual responsibility of review of both, the scientific content and ethical aspects of the proposal.

Standardization of meditation techniques

Standardization of meditation techniques

This is one of the most ambitious projects, ever, in this field. It is the process of implementing and developing meditation standards based on evidence, the consensus of different parties that include users, hospitals, interest groups, standards organizations, research institutes and governments. Meditation standardization can help to maximize compatibility, interoperability, safety, and repeatability.

Meditation Research Collaboration

Meditation research requires a diverse set of skills and capabilities, and that these skills and capabilities are usually developed over a substantial period of time. However, IISCIM Meditation Research Collaborations can be extremely rewarding, and are one way to make a lot of progress towards a research agenda in a relatively short time.

There are many opportunities to work with IISCIM and there are a number of advantages. Starting on a small scale and gradually broadening collaborations may be the most effective for some developing researchers, others may find working with IISCIM to provide more support, and then will eventually lead into individual large projects.

IISCIM is dedicated to fostering responsible and ethical conduct of research. Our commitment is reflected in our various research compliance policies and procedures, which serve to support IISCIM’s mission and objectives, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and safeguard IISCIM researchers and research.

If you want to explore meditation from different prespectives, research methods, data analysis and reporting techniques then collaboration with IISCIM will make that possible and easy. IISCIM conducts meditation and yoga research based on sponsorship and donations. Visit IISCIM Meditation Research Collaboration Project Protocol to know the IISCIM meditation research logistic and the the process of managing the flow of the research.
